We’re looking for a Data Engineer to help design, build, and operate this modern data architecture. This role focuses on developing efficient, governed data pipelines and enabling analytics teams across the business to access reliable, high-quality data.\nResponsibilities:\nIngestion & Transformation\nBuild and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake OpenFlow and related Snowflake-native tools.\nAssist in migrating existing Dataiku pipelines into Snowflake to simplify architecture and improve efficiency.\nContinuously improve workflows for performance, reliability, and maintainability.\nSemantic Modeling & Views\nDevelop and maintain Snowflake semantic views that support analytics and reporting needs.\nApply data modeling best practices to ensure consistency across business domains.\nSupport creation of governed, role-based semantic layers for Finance, Operations, and other enterprise areas.\nGovernance & Security\nImplement data access controls aligned with enterprise RBAC frameworks.\nSupport metadata management and cataloging for visibility in Sigma.\nEnsure pipelines and models meet enterprise data governance standards.\nAnalytics Enablement\nDeliver clean, governed data sets for Sigma dashboards and embedded analytics use cases.\nMonitor and optimize query performance to balance cost and speed.\nPartner with analysts and BI developers to ensure data is reliable and ready for consumption.\nContinuous Improvement\nStay current with Snowflake and Sigma feature updates.\nRecommend improvements to data engineering processes and automation where possible.\nContribute to a culture of learning and collaboration within the CoE.\nQualifications:\nEducation & Experience:\n\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.\nAt least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\nSnowflake expertise: SQL, OpenFlow, Tasks/Streams, and performance optimization.\nCloud experience: Hands-on with AWS (S3, IAM, Glue, Lambda a plus).\nData modeling: Familiar with dimensional modeling and semantic layer design.\nETL/ELT engineering: Experience building and optimizing data pipelines.\nGovernance & Security: Understanding of AD/LDAP integration, RBAC, and data cataloging.\nProgramming: Proficient in SQL and Python.\nStrong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn emerging data technologies.\n\nPreferred Skills\nExperience supporting Power BI to Sigma migrations or similar modern BI transitions.\nFamiliarity with Sigma features such as Ask Sigma, Write-Back, or Embedded Analytics.\nExposure to Dataiku or similar ETL platforms.\nInterest in modern data practices such as AI-assisted analytics or NLP-based BI tools.\n\nTravel: Approximately 10%\n\nStandard and Physical Requirements:\nPosition involves sitting for long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting.\n\nAlliance Team Members Demonstrate DRIVE:\nDedicated: Follows through on commitments.
