This is the entry/trainee level position within the Assembler job family.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nWorking under a trainer, incumbent performs routine subassembly tasks such as assembling valves, switches, hand and foot controls, etc.\nPulls parts from inventory and operates hand tools/equipment on a variety of large and small parts.\nRoutinely follows work instructions to perform tasks, may be required to interpret the results of certain test procedures, and may troubleshoot and repair parts when necessary, referring situations outside of instructions to the Supervisor.\nAchieves and maintains quality and productivity standards while following safety guidelines. Must not pose a risk to self or others.\nMaintains acceptable dependability level.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions and must have the ability to determine color codes on tubing and electrical wiring operations. Must also possess basic computer skills.\nAbility to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, some fractions, and ability to effectively read a ruler.\nDemonstrated manual dexterity required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious experience preferred, but not required.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise maneuver up to 35 pounds with or without assistance on a routine basis. Must have manual hand dexterity to grasp, operate tools and equipment repetitively. Able to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift.
