As part of the TenCate family of companies, GeoSurfaces is backed by a global leader in synthetic turf innovation while maintaining a strong, team-oriented culture focused on quality, service, and long-term partnerships.Position SummaryGeoSurfaces, a TenCate company, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Estimating Assistant to support day-to-day business functions related to estimating, bid submissions, contract packages, procurement support, licensing, and overall operational coordination.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and takes pride in keeping processes organized, accurate, and moving forward. The Estimating Assistant will work closely with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and leadership to help ensure bid documentation, awarded project information, and business records are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport procurement activities by researching products, requesting vendor quotes, and comparing pricing for operational and project-related needs.Assist with organizing, preparing, and managing bid documentation to ensure timely and accurate submissions.Prepare FedEx labels, coordinate shipment of bid packages, and drop off FedEx packages as needed to meet strict shipping deadlines.Attend pre-bid meetings and public bid openings as needed.Gather, review, and verify all required documentation for awarded projects before forwarding to the Contracts Manager for project setup.Cross-train with the Contracts Manager to support contractor licensing renewals and help maintain compliance with state and local regulatory requirements.Route answering service messages to the appropriate team member to ensure timely follow-up and communication.Maintain accurate records, documentation, and files to support estimating, contract administration, procurement, and daily business operations.Serve as a point of contact with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to support clear communication and efficient workflows.Assist leadership with special projects and other operational tasks as assigned.QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, but not required.1-2 years of experience in operations, contract administration, procurement, estimating support, administrative support, or a related role preferred.Construction industry experience is a plus.Basic understanding of common construction materials, terminology, and project documentation preferred.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, contractors, internal teams, and leadership.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Familiarity with contract management, procurement, or estimating-related software is a plus.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.Must be dependable, proactive, and willing to assist with time-sensitive tasks when needed.Why Join UsAt GeoSurfaces, a TenCate company, we are looking for team members who take pride in their work, enjoy being part of a collaborative team, and are motivated to contribute to the success of the business.
