This position is responsible for operating degreasing and color processing equipment to clean, prepare, and finish metal components in accordance with established production, quality, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is committed to producing quality work, maintaining a safe work environment, and supporting daily production goals.\n\nEssential Responsibilities\nOperate degreasing and color processing equipment according to established work instructions and standard operating procedures.\nClean, prepare, and process metal components through various stages of production.\nLoad, unload, and move materials and finished products throughout the manufacturing process.\nMonitor equipment and processing conditions to ensure consistent product quality.\nInspect parts for defects and verify compliance with quality specifications.\nComplete all required production records and documentation accurately and timely.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.\nReport equipment malfunctions, product defects, or safety concerns to supervision promptly.\nDemonstrate acceptable written and verbal communication skills.\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to support efficient production.\nWork independently while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.\n\nExperience & Skills\nPrevious manufacturing or industrial production experience preferred.\nBasic computer skills.\nAbility to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.\nAbility to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nDemonstrate acceptable written and verbal communication skills.\nPrepare required paperwork completely and accurately.\nExcellent customer service and teamwork skills.\nAbility to work independently and productively.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nApplicants must be able to:\nLift up to 45 pounds.\nStand, walk, stoop, bend, climb, and sit for extended periods throughout the workday.\nPerform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.\nWear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety requirements.\nWork safely in a manufacturing environment.\n\nPre-Employment Requirements\nEmployment offers are contingent upon successfully completing all pre-employment requirements, which may include:\nDrug Screening\nBackground Check\nE-Verify\n\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nPPG Quality is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
