What this role is all about:
We are looking for an Agglomerator Back Up Lead in La Crosse, WI.
The Agglomerator Back-Up Lead is responsible for performing all tasks involved in the Agglomeration production of Select Custom Solutions’ products; acting as a back-up for the Agglomerator Lead as needed. The Agglomerator Back-Up Lead follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. This position works in all areas of the production line.
12-hour shifts (7 am to 7 pm) on a rotating schedule
Job Duties:
Safely and efficiently lift and handle bags of product ranging from 25lbs to 55lbs.
Effectively communicate with Agglomerator Back-up Lead and Lead from previous shift; report to the line at least 15 minutes early to discuss run progress and any issues encountered.
Enforce safety and GMP procedures/policies with production operators and temporary workers.
Perform all duties of the Agglomerator Operator as needed.
Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment; identify and report mechanical issues to maintenance.
Check blend sheet paperwork to ensure the proper components are being used (bags, pallets, fill weights, etc.); match lot numbers on product with labels and paperwork.
Read ingredient declarations on bags; accurately count bags per pallet.
Dump totes/bags of product into appropriate equipment on the production line at the required production rate and pace.
Act as back-up to the Agglomerator Lead as needed, filling in as needed and assisting with the daily responsibilities.
Communicate with the line crew regarding the daily schedule.
Complete the Pre-Operation Inspection Log on the Daily Production Record as appropriate.
Review production schedule and check all necessary items for the assigned lines.
Coordinate packaging needs (proper size, type, and timing) with the appropriate batching worker.
Ensure the metal detector and sifter checks are completed by a qualified operator within the required frequencies.
Effectively operate a computerized production system.
Set-up, perform, and monitor CIP (Clean-In-Place) processes for all Agglomeration equipment.
Perform in-process and finished sample checks for Quality Control (QC), utilizing lab equipment in the Control Room.
Make necessary adjustments to processing equipment based on QC checks.
Check blend sheet paperwork to ensure the proper components are being used (bags, pallets, fill weights, etc.); match lot numbers on product with labels and paperwork.
Check tare weight of scale and ensure tare weight is being maintained during packaging.
Assign workers to stations and inform Production Supervisor of any absences and/or line problems.
Monitor all phases of the production line and the quality of product being produced.
Ensure proper product change-overs.
