Staff Respiratory Therapist (Full-Time)
The Respiratory Therapist will assist in collecting information and/or authorization if referral is from party other than the physician. He/she will asses the needs of the patient and the best choice of equipment and/or services to meet those needs. The Respiratory Therapist involves the patient, family, and/or caregiver in the selection process. You will also instruct patients in the proper use and care of equipment according to the written policies and procedures for the equipment. The Therapist will communicate with the patient's physician on changes in patient's condition and/or needs and will carry out adjustments to the patient's plan of care or treatment. Will work in the Columbus area.EducationGraduate of an accredited respiratory care program.Important TasksAssesses the need of the patient client and the best choice of equipment and/or services to meet those needs.Communicates with the patient’s/client’s physician on changes in patient’s condition and/or needs and carries out adjustment to the patient’s/client’s plan of care/treatment.Acts as a liaison between the company and the patient/client, family, caregiver, physician and other health care agency and staff of the case.
