This position contributes to team efforts in engineering, analytics, and technical planning, applying advanced computational methods to improve safety, efficiency, and operational performance.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nApply computer programming and analytical techniques to develop code, implement algorithms, and produce software solutions supporting aviation safety and operational analysis.\r\nDevelop dashboards, data visualizations, and analytics tools to support FAA decision-making and program reporting.\r\nConduct text mining, data extraction, and data integration to support technical, safety, or operational insights.\r\nUtilize state-of-the-art simulation envi ronment s, laboratories, and test facilities to develop, validate, and deploy software solutions.\r\nParticipate in engineering, technical, or analytical teams , providing guidance and contributing to technical planning processes.\r\nApply knowledge of computer science, programming principles, and mathematical methods to solve complex aviation or technical problems.\r\nEnsure developed solutions adhere to FAA, federal, and organizational standards for software quality, safety, and operational integrity.\r\nPrepare documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate findings, methodologies, and recommendations.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nU.S Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident (3+ years U.S. Residency)\r\nExperience with FAA and the environment.\r\nEducation and Experience\r\nDoctorate in Computer Science, Programming, Engineering, Science, or other technical/analytical field with 10+ years of experience in performing the above duties or in aviation-related programming roles; or\r\nMaster's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience; or\r\nBachelor's degree with 17+ years of relevant experience.\r\n5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelors Degree.\r\nDemonstrated proficiency in software development, algorithm implementation, and data visualization .\r\nExperience with text mining, data analytics, and programming languages such as Python, R, Java, C++, or equivalent.\r\nProven ability to apply computational methods to complex, safety-critical, or technical systems .\r\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills.\r\nExperience working in aviation, aerospace, or other highly regulated technical envi ronment s preferred.\r\nDesired Qualifications\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience supporting FAA programs, NAS operations, or aviation safety analytics .\r\nKnowledge of software development best practices, version control, and collaborative development envi ronment s .\r\nFamiliarity with data engineering, machine learning, or AI/ML applications in aviation or operational contexts.\r\nExperience integrating software solutions with dashboards, visualization tools, and operational analytics platforms .\r\nFamiliarity with state-of-the-art simulation and test facilities used in aviation or aerospace research.\r\nOverview\r\nNoblis (http://www.noblis.org/) and our wholly owned subsidiaries, Noblis ESI , and Noblis MSD tackle the nation's toughest problems and apply advanced solutions to our clients' most critical missions.
