This position will be responsible for preparing and sending specimens and test requests to LabCorp and/or contracted reference laboratory for testing, as well as releasing referral test results into the computer system.\nAll job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.\nWork Schedule: This is a float position that will require a flexible schedule and travel between sites\nWork Location: Multiple locations in the Richmond, VA area\nFloat Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement\nBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only. For more detailed information, please click here.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPrepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing\nResearch, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems\nSend test requests to proper location and release test results\nAssist clients with any specimen related requests or inquires\nProcess specimens to be sent out to additional facilities\nProvide support to various areas of the laboratory\nPerform sample sorting, racking and retrieving\nPrepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment\nJob Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMust have valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation\nMust be at least 21 years’ old\nExperience in a laboratory environment is preferred\nComfortability with handling biological specimens\nAbility to accurately identify specimens\nBasic computer and data entry skills\nStrong communication skills; written and verbal\nAbility to work independently or within a team environment\nWell organized and a high level of attention to detail\nAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time\nMust pass a standardized color blindness test\nThis position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
