The candidate will focus on designing and maintaining systems and performing analysis of situations or data for modeling purposes, along with other duties. The candidate will have opportunities to participate in software design and development. Junior systems engineering positions are also available.\n\nCLEARANCE: TS/SCI w/Full Scope Polygraph (Active or used within 24 months)\n\nQualifications\n\nCompleted B.S. in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related technical field\n\n5-10 years of relevant experience\n\nRequired skills and abilities\n\nNFS, SAMBA, AD/LDAP integration, Web Servers, Tomcat, LVM, YUM, and Linux security hardening\n\nAble to install Linux servers, troubleshoot hardware/software installation, and basic networking issues\n\nFamiliarity with BASH Scripting, kickstart deployments\n\nFamiliarity with Red Hat Satellite Server technologies\n\nFamiliarity with configuring Storage Area Network connectivity over Fiber Channel\n\nDesired skills\n\nFamiliarity with Windows systems, VMWare, Hadoop, and Storage Area Networks, Big Data Analytical environments\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\n\nAbility to work independently with little supervision\n\nDemonstrated ability to learn, retain, and apply good interpersonal skills, and perform effectively under time pressure\n\nCore responsibilities\n\nSetting up and managing Linux systems, applications and environments and ensuring those systems comply with government security standards\n\nApache web server administration and configuration\n\nMaintaining high availability infrastructure ensuring security compliances and high-level performance while minimizing service interruption\n\nProviding network systems securities through policy enforcement and monitoring access\n\nAssisting in the design of multi‑server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, WINS, etc.\n\nTroubleshooting network hardware and software applications, OS upgrades, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services\n\nBenefits\nA comprehensive benefits package is provided, which includes company‑paid single medical, dental, life, disability, and long‑term care insurances (with contributions to family premiums), a matching 401(k) plan, 34 days off per year including 10 federal holidays plus the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s eves.\n\nLocation\nChantilly, Virginia\n\nEmployment Details\nFull‑time, Monday‑Friday, 40 hours per week with flexible start and end times.
