We are looking for a professional, high- energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classic cocktails & exciting new beverages to our members. The bartender will greet members, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items.To succeed as a bartender here, you should have a neat appearance & an engaging, friendly personality.You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable & personable.Position DescriptionPosition: BartenderReports to: Director of hospitality Position Summary: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.Essential DutiesInspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are availableRequests additional supplies as necessary per the par stock prep sheet Follows set-up proceduresPrepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinksGreets members and guest.Take drink & food orders.Check identification to ensure legal age to purchase alcoholAdhering to all food safety & quality regulations.Mixes, prepares and serves drinks according to the recipes approved Bar ManagerReports member or guest complaints to a manager as soon as they occurMaintains and cleans bar area and equipmentMaintains records of liquors, beers, wine and sundries to ensure par stock is maintained at all timesMaintains daily inventory and records indicating drinks in the greatest demandCleans and locks-up according to prescribed proceduresAttends staff meetings as requested by the Bar Manager & the Food & Beverage Director.Job Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesGood oral communication skillsA servant’s heartPhysical RequirementsStanding (hours at one time): 5; Walking (hours at one time): 5.Standing (total hours per day): 8+; Walking (total hours per day): 8+.Sitting (hours at one time): 1/2; Driving (hours at one time): n/a.Sitting (total hours per day): 1/2; Driving (total hours per day): n/a.Lifting/Carrying: 1-10 lbs up to a height of 8’ for 25’ frequently; and 11-50 lbs from waist to shoulder for 25’ occasionally.Actions and motions: balancing, twisting, reaching, handling frequently; and pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, fingering, repetitive and hand motion occasionally.Equipment: use of tools and equipment frequently.Environmental Conditions: exposure to vibration and noise occasionally.Equipment consists of cappuccino machine, blender, computer.Education & ExperienceHave or obtain TABC Certification.Have or obtain Food Handlers Certification.
