Part-Time Childcare Cook / Kitchen Support

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Childcare Cook / Kitchen Support to join our team. Duties Prepare and serve healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks according to menu plans Assist with menu planning to accommodate dietary needs and preferences Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices, adhering to all food handling regulations Support the dietary department by assisting with inventory management and ordering supplies Ensure all food preparation complies with safety standards and dietary guidelines Assist in setting up meal service areas and serving food to children in a friendly manner Support catering or special event meal preparations as needed Follow all food industry standards, including knife skills, food safety protocols, and proper cooking techniques Experience Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is preferred Experience in menu planning, food preparation, or cooking within a childcare, restaurant, or catering setting is highly desirable Familiarity with food handling, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations in the food industry or fine dining environments is beneficial Previous experience with culinary tasks such as meal preparation, serving, or catering will be advantageous Skills in knife handling, food presentation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness are important for success in this role This position is ideal for individuals passionate about providing nutritious meals in a childcare setting while utilizing their culinary skills.
