The selected candidate will provide Instrumentation & Controls engineering support, configuration management, field troubleshooting, and design services for facility control systems operating within a regulated nuclear environment.\r\nThis position will work onsite under the direction of the assigned manager and support configuration-managed systems, change control activities, engineering design updates, and field implementation efforts.\r\nKey ResponsibilitiesProvide Instrumentation & Controls Engineering design support with a primary focus on equipment process control and monitoring systems\r\nSupport software change control and configuration management for facility control systems\r\nDevelop change packages and provide field technical support and system walkdowns\r\nSupport programmers and operations personnel during implementation activities\r\nReview Change Requests (CRs) and determine impacted configuration-managed documents\r\nWalk down affected systems and update engineering documentation to reflect field modifications\r\nTroubleshoot existing systems and develop corrective design solutions\r\nMaintain and revise:Conduit and cable schedules\r\nConduit and equipment plans\r\nOne-line diagrams\r\nWiring, connection, and schematic diagrams\r\nInstrument loop diagrams\r\nEngineering calculations\r\nDatasheets\r\nConstruction specificationsSupport both single-discipline assignments and multidisciplinary project teams\r\nEnsure compliance with applicable engineering standards and nuclear facility requirements\r\nRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering\r\nMinimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience\r\nExperience in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering design\r\nExperience supporting equipment process control and monitoring systems\r\nDemonstrated experience utilizing:National Electrical Code (NEC)\r\nUL508A\r\nApplicable ISA standardsExperience supporting:Configuration management\r\nChange control programs\r\nEngineering document updates\r\nField troubleshooting and system walkdownsU.S. Citizenship required\r\nDesired QualificationsExperience in NRC or DOE regulated environments\r\nUnderstanding of:Conduct of Engineering\r\nConduct of OperationsExperience with Rockwell Automation software including:RSLogix\r\nFactoryTalkDOE Q Clearance\r\nAdditional Technical Experience Desired Experience utilizing ETAP Power Systems Analysis software, including:\r\nPower system modeling, design, and analysis\r\nSteady-state and short-circuit studies\r\nMotor acceleration analysis\r\nEquipment protection and coordination studies\r\nArc flash assessment and mitigation\r\nIEEE 1584 arc flash studies\r\nHarmonic analysis and filter sizing\r\nSecurity RequirementsU.S. Citizenship required\r\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance\r\nMust meet all site access, badging, training, and security requirements\r\nMust complete required UCNI/CUI awareness training\r\nAt Spectra Tech, Inc., our recruitment team is powered by real people in real time-personally reviewing every application with care and integrity.
