You will support a migration from the current Oracle database to a Postgres database and manage the database environments proactively. As we continue our growth, you will play a key role in ensuring scalability of our data systems.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nDrive efforts to migrate from the current Oracle database to the new Microsoft Azure Postgres database\r\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, using defined technical documentation templates, and gain an in-depth knowledge of the business data to propose and implement effective solutions\r\nCollaborate with internal and external parties to transform high-level technical objectives into comprehensive technical requirements\r\nEnsure the availability and performance of the databases that support our systems, ensuring sufficient resources for high resilience and speed\r\nPerform and assist developers in performance tuning\r\nProactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime and improve maintenance of the databases to include rollouts, patching, and upgrades\r\nWork within a structured and Agile development approach\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree\r\nMust be US Citizenship\r\n7 years of experience with administrating PostgreSQL Databases in Linux environments\r\nExperience with setting up, monitoring, and maintaining PostgreSQL instances\r\nExperience with implementing and maintaining PostgreSQL backup and disaster recovery processes\r\nExperience migrating Oracle schema, packages, views, and triggers to Postgres using Ora2Pg tool\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience implementing and maintaining data warehouses\r\nExperience with AWS RDS for PostgreSQL\r\nExperience with Oracle databases\r\nExperience leveraging the Ora2Pg tool\r\nExperience working in cloud environments such as Azure and/or AWS\r\nPrior federal consulting experience\r\nBenefits\r\nHealth, Dental, and Vision\r\nLife Insurance\r\n401k\r\nFlexible Spending Account (Health, Dependent Care, and Commuter)\r\nPaid Time Off and Observance of State/Federal Holidays\r\nEqual Opportunity Statement\r\nContact Government Services, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
