The director is in charge of keeping up to date on licenses that are required by each individual therapist. This person is required to review reports from each individual patient requiring rehabilitation.The position requires a degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy. Experience in the field of rehabilitation is required, as is demonstration of managerial practices. The position requires extensive knowledge of the rehab's goals and the ability to convey this knowledge to the employees.A director may be required to provide hands-on services to patients. The Directors of Rehabilitation's the lead on creating and implementing programs with the clients inside the facility. The director is the only worker able to deem a patient rehabilitated and clear them from the facility.
