Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Employment Type and Schedule: Full Time, Able to work 1st shift, 2nd shift and 3rd shift hours.
Requirements:
Assisting Sheet Metal Mechanic in the fabricating and installing assemblies and systems in buildings or work sites according to blueprints, specifications and other resource information using hand tools, portable power tools and other specialized equipment
Assist inspecting assemblies and installation work for conformance with plans, specifications, and trade standards, using naked eye as well as measuring instruments, such as measuring tape, rule, plumb bob or level
Assist sheet metal mechanic with routine fabrication and installation activities with direct oversight and on-site assistance
Help set up/operate soldering and welding equipment, fabricating machines,
Install AHU/RTU, fan/VAV, hangers, metal duct, flex and GRD
Cut fiberglass duct and fittings
Install fiberglass duct and fittings
Measure, size, cut and apply duct insulation
May erect scaffolding reposition scissors
May assist in assembling, lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation
Load, transport, unload and furnish experienced craft worker with materials, tools, equipment and supplies
Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary
May perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment
Accept and perform other work as assigned
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
The qualified candidate will have one to three months of commercial sheet metal experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong communication skills and able to follow instructions
Knowledge of the proper use of safety equipment
Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must be able to climb and balance on ladders, stand/ or sit for long periods at a time, must not have fear of heights, among others
Valid Florida driver's license
