We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world.\n\nIn the role of Construction EIT, we'll count on you to:\n\nAssist the Construction Manager with all facets of project execution\nAssist with the administration of one or multiple construction projects as an owner representative\nAssist with identifying and resolving design and construction issues in the field.\nConduct meetings with client and general contractor.\nWork directly with the client and contractor to meet the needs of the project.\nCommunicate with the project team and client throughout the project.\nOversee the Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs on a project.\nPresent job progress and issues in meetings with the client.\nPrepare daily reports for each individual project.\nReview and provide recommendations on contractors' CPM baseline construction schedules and schedule updates.\nReview contractor submittals and respond to contractor inquiries, ensuring that contract specifications are met.\nCoordinate with others to obtain responses to requests for information and other submittals from contractors and keeps a log of such requests.\nReviews pay documents and processes pay documents for payment.\nDetermines change order impacts and negotiates with contractors to achieve fair and reasonable cost and time settlements.\nPrepare change orders including justification, independent cost estimates, and design documentation.\nPerform other engineering and construction management functions as assigned.\nCommunicate regularly with PM, HDR field staff, and clients.\nTravel to projects throughout Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Montana may be required.\nRead, clearly understand and interpret construction drawings\nPerform other duties as needed\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nA minimum of 2 years of construction experience\nKnowledge of estimating software programs (Timberline ), scheduling software (Primavera P3 or SureTrak ), Bluebeam Revu and project management software (Prolog or Procore )\n#LI-KT1\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field\nEngineer in Training (EIT) certificate\nExperience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)\nMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills\nStrong people skills, ability to interact with the design team\nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must\n\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
