Associate Director, Commercial Analytics, Rare Disease (Cambridge)

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Commercial Analytics individual to join our Rare Disease Commercial Operations organization. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing key foundational capabilities. As a highly visible and hands-on team member, you will collaborate closely with Ipsen US Rare Disease Leadership to proactively guide the assessment and evolution of our commercial team.Main ResponsibilitiesLead field force analytics and sales operations capabilities in the Rare Disease Franchise — including territory alignment, target list development, account/HCP prioritization, field force sizing, and incentive compensation framework design and target-setting — with cross-functional input from Data, Digital & Analytics and brand teamsMonitor and evaluate field execution performance against goals, delivering data-driven insights that inform alignment decisions and support brand strategyIdentify key drivers of product performance and diagnose territory- and account-level variation to support field leadership and brand teamsConduct advanced statistical analyses and market modelling to surface patterns within Rare Disease data, generate actionable insights, and identify brand opportunities across the franchisePartner with the Rare Disease Data, Digital & Analytics lead to design, track, and report on KPIs aligned to commercial strategy, ensuring standardized reporting infrastructure across the business unitSupport the Head of Commercial Operations in developing content for US Business Reviews, Town Halls, Leadership Team meetings, and other executive forums — translating commercial performance data into executive-ready materialsDrive analytics strategy for Rare Disease product launches and market access environments, ensuring data infrastructure and processes scale with business needsAlign all analytical outputs with brand objectives, field execution priorities, and broader commercial goalsKnowledge & ExperienceMinimum of 7 years of experience in analytics or insights role within Pharma/Biotech, ideally including Rare Disease experienceStrong experience with pharmaceutical datasets, including secondary data (claims, RWD), SP/SD data, and sales performance metricsProven track record in product launch analytics and addressing complex business questionsStrategic thinking and curiosity to uncover key insights and drivers of performanceExceptional storytelling and communication skills to translate data into actional insightsAbility to influence and build strong relationships with cross functional stakeholdersNatural curiosity and proactive approach to insights generationExpertise in patient services and field execution data analytics to measure performance again goalsProficiency in advanced analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI)Expertise in developing and operationalizing KPIs for measuring brand performanceAbility to identify critical business drivers and translate them into actional metricsKnowledge of data challenges and distribution complexities to Rare DiseasesUnderstanding of best practices in process and interpreting insights for niche therapeutic areasStrong ability to synesthetic data insights into compelling narrativesProficiency in visual storytelling tools to create impactful reports and dashboardsEducation / CertificationsBachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or related fields) is requiredAdvanced degree; MBA, MS, PhD, is preferredLanguage(s) (essential):Fluent in English.The annual base salary range for this position is $143,250 - $210,000This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentives program.
