The ideal candidate has recent experience working with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, including microservices and containers. Candidates will have experience migrating applications to cloud environments; configuring and maintaining cloud infrastructures using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation; troubleshooting issues and identifying root cause analysis; generating after action reports to include new requirements and improved Tier 1 SOPs; experience with ActiveMQ and/or Kafka, as well as deployment strategies for high-availability systems.\n\nWork Schedule: M-F, 8 hours/5 days per week; after-hours call-in may be required\n\nEssential Responsibilities: (describe the day-to-day)\n\nDesign, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., modernization, migration, roadmaps, etc.), ensuring that systems are designed and maintained following best practices and governance requirements.\nBuild reusable modules (e.g., Helm Charts, Terraform, etc.) and enforce development standards for creation and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).\nContinuously monitor the health and performance of the infrastructure and systems using logging and alerting, identify issues and implement solutions for improved efficiency.\nProvide strategies for failure/recovery (e.g., backup, high availability, etc.), cost optimization (e.g., tagging, budgets, rightsizing, autoscaling, etc.) and benefit analysis of cloud services.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system capabilities and efficiency.\nContribute to deliverables (e.g., architectures, runbooks, and operational procedures) and performance metrics, where applicable, and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.\nStay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to current systems.\n\nMinimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):\n\nProven progressive responsibility and experience, collectively, with the following:\n\nExperience provisioning, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., compute, storage, networking, IAM)\nExperience designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud architectures\nExperience developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (laC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, etc.\nKnowledge of containers and platform workloads (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS/GKE).\nDevelopment experience with Java and React.\nExperience configuring monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, etc. and responding to incidents.\nExperience implementing and testing backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.\nExperience managing secrets and key management with tools such as KMS/KeyVault/Secret Manager, certificates, and rotation policies.\nExperience optimizing cloud cost and performance (e.g., tagging, budgets, rightsizing, autoscaling) and producing usage/cost reports.\nExperience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues across networking (DNS, routing, VPN), security, and service limits.\nExperience documenting architectures, runbooks, and operational procedures.\nExperience with Linux OS\n\nClearance Required:\n\nTS/SCI w/FSP\n\nMinimum Education:\n\n(U) Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
