The role drives customer satisfaction by improving products and processes through corrective actions, preventative actions, and failure mode effects analysis. The Quality Engineer works across department lines to establish metrics to monitor effectiveness of processes and corrective actions, adjusting as necessary.\r\nEssential Responsibilities\r\nIdentify product and process failure modes and aid in developing prevention and detection methods\r\nDevelop control plans to ensure adherence to critical-to-quality requirements for products\r\nDrive development and implementation of improvements to business and manufacturing processes\r\nInvestigate and resolve issues impacting customer satisfaction\r\nDrive development and implementation of corrective actions resulting from non-conformances\r\nDevelop and maintain key performance indicators and supporting data collection systems\r\nLead implementation of basic and advanced quality control and assurance tools\r\nAssess fit, form, and function of products and/or components to specifications\r\nAssess effectiveness of assembly methods, training, and documentation, and drive changes as necessary\r\nMonitor and respond to audit results of work-in-process and finished goods\r\nLead and help others with small projects\r\nPerform other duties as required or assigned\r\nRequired Skills\r\nMust be self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong personal drive for success.\r\nAble to collect, compile, analyze and interpret data\r\nOrganization and time-management skills are critical\r\nAdvanced functional understanding and familiarity with FMEA, control plans, APQP, MSA, capability studies, and related quality tools\r\nProficiency with multiple root-cause analysis tools and problem-solving strategies\r\nAbility to lead, persuade, and collaborate with teammates across department functions to drive implementation of best practices for organizational success\r\nUnderstanding statistical sampling and acceptance quality limits\r\nAdvanced functional knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs\r\nAbility to operate and read various metrology tools, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, protractors\r\nAbility to work effectively as a team as well as independently when assigned tasks\r\nAble to overcome obstacles and achieve results\r\nFamiliarity with ERP system operations\r\nQualifications\r\nRequire\r\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field\r\n5–10 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment\r\nExperience working within ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management system standards\r\nWorking experience supporting or owning APQP and PPAPs in whole or in part\r\nPrefer\r\nHVAC experience is a strong plus\r\nProject management experience is a strong plus\r\nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus\r\nOther Duties\r\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required by the employee for this job.
