Schools needed solutions that were simple, secure, interoperable, and customizable, without all the extra noise, empty promises, and confusing processes. There weren’t many options out there doing it right. So, we built one.\nsimpledu officially launched with a focus on solving real problems: building dismissal and discipline systems designed for automatic rostering that adapts to each school’s unique setup, seamless Single Sign-On access, true interoperability that reduces workloads, and flexible solutions that scale to meet school, district, and state requirements — all while staying incredibly easy to use.\nWhat started as a way to pay off student loans quickly grew into something so much bigger: our passion, our mission, and our livelihood.\nFrom the very beginning, we made a decision that still shapes every part of our company today: we would stay bootstrapped. No shareholders. No outside investors. Every decision would be made with one thing in mind — what’s best for schools, not what’s best for our bottom line.\nBecause of that, our customers experience something rare: a company that truly listens, adapts, picks up the phone, and moves fast.. not for profit, but for students, teachers, and administrators. It’s why we’ve been profitable since year one. It’s why school leaders recommend us to others without hesitation. And it’s why we’re so proud of what we’ve built, together, with our schools.\nToday, simpledu supports schools across 14 states and counting. Our flagship product, simpldiscipline, now serves over 80% of school districts in South Carolina — helping administrators save countless hours, improve data quality, and spend more time mentoring students, not managing paperwork.\nOur entire team comes from K-12 backgrounds, teachers, technologists, data specialists, people who know the environment and the heart behind it.\nWe believe innovation, support, and collaboration are the keys to helping schools succeed.\nOur mission is simple:\nMaking K-12 simple — one data sync at a time.\nAs we look to the future, our vision remains focused on solving the next set of challenges for schools, from tackling chronic absenteeism to streamlining tardy management. Our product roadmap isn’t decided in a boardroom, it’s shaped by the needs of the schools we proudly serve.\nWe’re here to help schools work smarter, not harder, to provide better analytics, easier workflows, and stronger data, so educators can spend less time on paperwork and more time doing what matters most: helping kids grow.\nAt simpledu, we’re proud of our story.\nBut we’re even more excited for the chapters we haven’t written yet — and the schools we’ll partner with along the way.\nWe’ve built something special at simpledu, a company that puts schools first, listens deeply, and delivers solutions that truly make a difference. But we know we can’t write the next chapter alone.\nIf you’re passionate about building technology that empowers educators and improves student outcomes, we want to hear from you. Join a team that’s redefining what it means to serve K-12… with empathy, agility, and purpose.\nPay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year\nBenefits:\n401(k) 3% Match\nHealth insurance\nInternet reimbursement\nUnlimited paid time off\nWork from home\nWork Location: Hybrid remote in Clemson, SC 29632","company":"Simpledu","rawCompany":"simpledu","city":"Clemson","state":"SC","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-08-11T16:09:02.347Z","occupations":[{"code":"15-1252.00","title":"Software Developers","slug":"software-developers"},{"code":"15-1299.08","title":"Computer Systems Engineers/Architects","slug":"computer-systems-engineers-architects"},{"code":"15-1211.00","title":"Computer Systems Analysts","slug":"computer-systems-analysts"}],"industries":[{"code":"513210","title":"Software Publishers","slug":"software-publishers"},{"code":"541511","title":"Custom Computer Programming Services","slug":"custom-computer-programming-services"},{"code":"541512","title":"Computer Systems Design Services","slug":"computer-systems-design-services"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Software Engineer","description":"simpledu is excited to share an opening on our team for a Software Engineer!
