This partnership allows Associated Accountants to maintain it's local identity and high-touch service model while benefiting from Archer Lewis's expanded national resources, technology, and operational support, enhancing both client service capabilities and long-term firm sustainability.What You'll DoAs a Senior Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, serving as a point of contact for clients, and providing guidance to junior team members. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a high level of accuracy, and hands-on experience in public accounting.Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals (1040), partnerships (1065), S-corporations (1120S), C-corporations (1120), and trusts/estates (1041)Conduct client interviews and gather necessary documentation to complete tax filingsIdentify and communicate potential tax savings opportunities and planning strategiesEnsure compliance with all tax laws and regulationsHandle correspondence with IRS and state tax authorities as neededMentor and support junior preparers or interns during tax seasonMaintain accurate and organized client records in the firm's tax softwareStay current with tax law changes and industry trendsWhat You'll Bring5+ years of recent experience in tax preparation within a CPA firm or public accounting environmentProficiency with tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries, UltraTax, Drake, or similar)Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codesExperience with QuickBooks, Xero or other accounting platforms preferredExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple deadlinesCPA, EA, or actively pursuing preferred but not requiredWhat We OfferMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance (Coverage begins on the first of the month following your start date.)Paid Parental Leave401(k) Matching ProgramPre-Tax Commuter BenefitsPet InsuranceUnlimited Flexible Time Off7 Company-Paid HolidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Hybrid in office work modelHourly compensation of $100,000-$120,000, dependent on experience, with eligibility for a discretionary bonusArcher Lewis StoryArcher Lewis is a national accounting and advisory firm established in 2024 from local practice mergers, leveraging over 70 years of legacy.
