This person will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the systems and services our team supports. The tech lead and manager will also lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT solutions, using PowerShell and scripting, Active Directory, Windows servers, O365, Azure, Entra AD and more. The tech lead and manager will report to the Director of IT and will manage a team of IT engineers and analysts.\nThis position is based out of our Eden Prairie, MN office. This role will be on-site 5 days a week for up to the first six months with possibly opportunity to go hybrid.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nOversee the IT Operations team, including recruitment, training, mentoring, and evaluating performance.\nSupervise teams handling Infrastructure such as Linux, Windows, backups, storage, and VMware.\nInterface with Off-shore teams supporting off-hours operations for Infrastructure support.\nMaintain the IT infrastructure to ensure it is dependable, scalable, secure, and adheres to industry standards and best practices.\nIdentify and resolve issues within IT systems and services using a variety of tools and strategies.\nDirect and carry out IT initiatives like migrations, updates, integrations, and process automation.\nOffer technical expertise and assistance to the IT Operations staff and other IT divisions, utilizing PowerShell, scripting, Active Directory, Windows servers, O365, Azure, Entra AD among others.\nDevelop and enforce IT procedures, protocols, and records.\nAdminister the IT budget and relationships with vendors.\nKeep abreast of emerging IT developments and technologies to propose enhancements and innovations.\nProvide support for Linux systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and security.\nManage and monitor the pure and hatachi san storage systems, ensuring optimal performance, capacity, and availability.\nImplement and maintain backup and recovery solutions, using technologies such as Veeam, Commvault, and Netbackup.\nCoordinate with 3rd party support on dell hardware issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.\nThe Skills You'll Bring:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.\nAt least 5-7 years of experience in IT operations, including managing a team.\nStrong knowledge and experience in PowerShell and scripting, Active Directory, Windows servers (of various OS versions), O365, Azure, Entra AD and more.\nExperience in cloud computing, virtualization, backup and recovery, and network administration.\nExperience in Linux administration, pure and Hitachi SAN storage management, and dell hardware support.\nExcellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.\nCertifications in Microsoft, Azure, Linux, or other relevant technologies are preferred.\nSupporting a diverse and inclusive workforce is important to Shutterfly not only because it directly reflects our value of Embracing our Differences, but also because it's the right thing to do for our business and for our people.
