Press Brake Operator (Mechanical)Location: 2608 Lowell Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054Pay: $17.00 – $22.00/hour (based on experience)Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Press Brake Operator to join our team in Gastonia, NC. This role requires hands-on experience operating and setting up non-CNC (manual) press brake machines to form metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.This is not a CNC role—candidates must be comfortable working with older mechanical press brakes, including manual setup, tooling selection, and forming processes.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate mechanical (non-CNC) press brake machinesSelect appropriate dies and tooling based on job requirementsRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsCalculate and apply bend allowances and tolerancesAdjust machine settings to ensure accurate forming of materialsInspect finished parts using measuring tools (tape measure, gauges, etc.)Maintain production quality and efficiency standardsFollow all safety procedures and company guidelinesPerform basic machine maintenance and troubleshootingQualificationsRequired: Experience operating mechanical press brakes (non-CNC)Strong understanding of tooling, die selection, and machine setupAbility to read and interpret blueprintsKnowledge of bend allowance and tolerancesAbility to read and use a measuring tape accuratelyStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsReliable attendance and strong work ethicPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 40–50 lbsFrequent bending, reaching, and handling materialsWork EnvironmentManufacturing / fabrication settingExposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipmentPPE required at all times⚠️ Important NoteThis position is for a manual/mechanical press brake operator.
