You’ll use data and collaboration to understand priorities, solve problems, take corrective action, and identify opportunities to improve how we work.\nAs the Staff Quality Engineer, you will:\nRepresent Quality Engineering on New Product Introduction projects, identifying risks and partnering with cross-functional teams to develop contingency plans\nDevelop and maintain proactive and reactive supplier quality processes to support quality, cost, and performance goals\nMonitor internal quality metrics, identify trends, and lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts\nIdentify and lead continuous improvement projects\nUse the CAPA system to address internal, supplier, and customer quality issues in partnership with cross-functional teams\nWho you are and the experience you bring:\nBS degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent\n7+ years of quality experience in a high-technology industry, preferably in an electro-mechanical product development, manufacturing, and test environment, particularly in industrial manufacturing/assembly and/or precision machining industries\nExperience with Supplier Quality Management methodologies (APQP, PPAP, SCAR)\nExperience with New Product Introduction (NPI) stage-gate processes\nProficient in problem solving techniques/tools (root cause analysis/corrective action, 8D) and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma/DMAIC, Kaizen)\nKnowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)\nExperience with Statistical/Quality Tools (DOE, SPC, fault tree analysis, FMEA, auditing, cost of poor quality, control plan, safe launch)\nKnowledge of Quality Management System standards (ISO9001: 2015)\nExperience with Oracle ERP software\nAbility to influence and build buy-in to product/process changes and the investment of resources\nPreferred experience that differentiates you:\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)\nLean/Six Sigma Black Belt\nLocation: Onsite - Kent, WA\nTravel: Up to 25% domestic and international\nAdditional benefits in joining Hypertherm Associates:\nCollaborative, 100% employee-owned culture\nProfit-Sharing and Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP)\nFive days/year paid Community Service Time\nStrong commitment to Environmental Stewardship\nStable, growing organization with a no-layoff philosophy\nSponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this time.\n#LI-MJ1\nHypertherm Associates is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we welcome all applications.
