{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"dbf95bf34d34d3abe4d865fc","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/dbf95bf34d34d3abe4d865fc","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/dbf95bf34d34d3abe4d865fc","title":"Database Engineer","description":"Job Description\n\nAs a Database Engineer, you will be responsible for leading development of databases, database parser software, and database loading software in support of the mission!\nClick APPLY to be contacted about this position and find out more details.\n\nWhat You Will Be Doing:\nLeading development of database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system under development.\nDeveloping requirement recommendations from a project’s inception to its conclusion for a particular Business and IT subject matter area (i.e., simple to complex systems).\nDirecting the overall database structure that fits into the overall architecture of the system under development and has to make trades among data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, security and domain controls.\nDirecting fulfillment of requirements from a project’s inception to it conclusion, directing organization of requirements and data into a usable database schema by directing development of ad hoc queries, scripts, macros, updates to existing queries.\nDirecting the development of complex systems using queries, tables, Open Database Connectivity, and database storage and retrieval using Cloud methodologies.\nProviding technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis to include using Oracle, SQL Server, SYBASE, and other DBMS Database and Applications.\nDeveloping relational and/or Object-Oriented databases, database parser software, and database loading software.\nProjecting long-range requirements for database administration and design.\nBeing responsible for developing a database structure that fits into the overall architecture of the system under development and has to make trades among data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, security and domain controls.\nWorking primarily at the front end of the lifecycle-requirements through system acceptance testing and Initial Operational Capability (IOC).\nAssisting with recommendations for, and analysis and evaluation of, systems improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts.\nParticipating in developing and delivering training as requested by the government to support applications.\nTranslating a set of requirements and data into a usable document by creating or recreating ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros; updating existing queries, creates new ones to manipulate data into a master file; and building complex systems using queries, tables, Open Database Connectivity, and database storage and retrieval using Cloud methodologies.\n,\nRequired Skills\n\nMust Have:\nMUST HAVE a Current and Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph, as the customer is NOT sponsoring clearances.\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Information Management and eight years of comparable work experience.\nStrong risk management skills and excellent communication, teamwork, and conflict management skills.\nMust be DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level 2.\nExperience working on a development team under DoD/DIA Risk Management Framework.\nUnderstanding of Oracle and/or CENTOS based architecture.\n,\nDesired Skills\n\nNice to Have:\nTen or more years of program/application operations experience.\nExperience in the Intelligence Community.\n,\nAdditional Details\n\nCrimson Phoenix considers people our most important asset.
