{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"dbe6c3a9eee2d86c22b886f2","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/dbe6c3a9eee2d86c22b886f2","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/dbe6c3a9eee2d86c22b886f2","title":"Materials Handler- 1st Shift","description":"BAK- Hiring Material Handler in Receiving Department\n1st Shift - Monday thru Thursday 6am-4:30pm also work 3 Fridays a month\nOperate Powered Hand Trucks/Standup- Counter- Balance Forklift\n$17.00hr.\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Materials Handler will perform tasks associated with the material handling process at RealTruck, including receiving materials, stocking, and inventory control, primarily using powered industrial trucks.\nCORE FUNCTIONS:\nLoad and unload raw materials from trailers; verifies accuracy against PO and packing slip in WMS.\nReceive material deliveries, verifies items and quantities to PO, and acquires proper paperwork.\nEfficiently moves materials to and from point of use, ensuring product quality is maintained.\nResponsible for accurate takeaways or replacements of Kanban racks and empty racks.\nEnsure product is properly labeled with part number, name, and quantity; rotates stock as needed.\nReceive returned product; verifies warranty status; updates WMS; prepares product for disposal or return to stock.\nMaintain accurate inventory; conducts cycle counts; transfers product in WMS; investigates and resolves variances.\nTrain other employees, maintain a clean and safe workspace, other duties as assigned.\nOperate a company vehicle in accordance with established traffic and transportation procedures and laws.\nCommunicate effectively with all departments and supervisors/leads.\nQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.\n6-12 months of related experience and/or training required.\n2-5 years of related experience and/or training preferred.\nPrevious forklift experience preferred.\nRequired Licenses:\nDriver’s license.\nSkills, Abilities, and Knowledge:\nSkilled in the operation of powered industrial trucks, pallet jack, tape gun.\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.\nAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to count and perform basic math.\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.\nTravel:\nNone.\nCOMPETENCIES:\nAdapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.\nFollows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
