For more information, visit itac.us.com.\n\nResponsibilities\nPerform structural analysis and design of industrial and manufacturing facilities, including industrial buildings, steel and concrete structures, equipment supports and foundations, pipe racks, platforms, access structures, and other industrial structural systems.\nPerform structural evaluations, modifications, and repairs of existing industrial structures.\nReview shop drawings and provide construction support, including responding to RFIs and addressing field-related structural issues.\nDevelop structural designs from conceptual design through final engineering and construction documents.\nPerform structural calculations using applicable building codes, standards, and engineering principles.\nReview and check structural drawings and details prepared by designers and junior engineers.\nDevelop and review designs using software such as RISA-3D, RISA Foundation, RISA Connection, PROFIS, Mathcad, AutoCAD, Advance Steel, and Revit.\nParticipate in project meetings and coordinate structural design with civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines.\nServe as a structural task lead on assigned projects, with guidance from senior engineering staff.\nAssist with project scoping, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring project budgets.\nPrepare material take-offs and assist with construction cost estimating.\nPerform field investigations and site visits, including climbing stairs/ladders and extensive walking.\nCommunicate directly with clients, contractors, and vendors.\nManage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.\nMaintain a high level of quality and take ownership of assigned work and commitments.\nTravel periodically for site visits and project-related activities, primarily within Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license required.\n5+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or similar facilities.\nDemonstrated experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, and masonry design.\nExperience developing structural designs from conceptual design through construction documents.\nExperience reviewing drawings and coordinating structural work with designers and other disciplines.\nWorking knowledge of applicable building codes, design standards, and regulatory requirements.\nWorking knowledge of architectural, civil/site, and multidisciplinary design requirements.\nProficiency with structural analysis and design software; experience with RISA-3D, RISA Foundation, RISA Connection, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar programs is preferred.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.\nDemonstrated ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver quality work.\nWillingness and ability to perform field work and construction observations.\nWillingness to travel periodically, primarily within Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.\n\nBenefits\n\nFrom internships to seasoned professionals, our growing company provides career opportunities for all levels of experience.
