Our team needs engineers interested in architecting, designing, developing and verifying software for real-time embedded GPS receivers for military airborne, ground and weapons applications. This position offers abundant opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge of GPS technology and receiver architecture, and to apply that knowledge in a team effort to develop our Modernized GPS receiver products.\n\nAs a part of this team, you will have responsibilities spanning all phases of the software engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, code development, integration, verification, and documentation. Assignments may include tasks such as:\n\nDesigning and writing GPS receiver source code across our product line of hardware form factors\n\nDebugging or modifying existing code to add new features or correct defects\n\nEnsuring execution of the software engineering process across the development life cycle\n\nEstimation, planning and prioritization of tasks to meet program deadlines\n\nReporting on project status and progress measured against specific plans\n\nDeveloping host applications and tools to interface and test products\n\nSupporting in the field integrations and demonstration efforts\n\nPutting our customer first through customer support activities\n\nExpanding our knowledge base together through mentorship and training opportunities.\n\nThe successful applicant should be knowledgeable and skilled with a variety of development and test tools as well as proficient in the development of embedded hardware/software applications.\n\nBecause this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.\n\nRequired Education, Experience, & Skills\n\nBachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline, and 2 plus years of direct related experience\n\nMust be a US Citizen\n\nHave the ability to obtain a DoW Security Clearance\n\nHigh motivation to solve problems and continuously improve existing products\n\nA genuine desire to learn and innovate\n\nDesire to contribute to a results-oriented product development team\n\nSolid understanding of software development processes for real-time embedded applications\n\nStrong verbal and written technical communication skills\n\nAbility to work well with a diverse team\n\nPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills\n\nExperience designing and implementing complex algorithms requiring strict timing, systems resource managed, and interface constraints\nA working knowledge of Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing, or Kalman Filter Theory\nExperience leading small software development teams and ensuring work is completed in accordance with design and development processes\nExperience with modernized software development processes (e.g. Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps)\nExperience with software development tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, Subversion, Git, Jira, Confluence, or Bamboo.\n\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $72150 - $122655\n\nPlease note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
