We are seeking an individual ideally with a CMS 1 or WSET certified to help us build our team, cultivate our reputation in the community, and be part of our establishment's journey from the very start.\nThe Role:\nAs an integral part of our service team, you'll work closely with the owner, GM, and servers to help maintain and manage day/night service, ensuring food presentation is on point, and help contribute to our customer experience. You will be pivotal in creating and sustaining an environment that is both welcoming and inspiring, making every guest's experience memorable.\nThis is an opportunity for individuals who care about connection, wine, tea and local purveyors. We are, at our core, a family operation and work closely with our neighborhood. We aim to provide all of the benefits of a larger organization with proven systems and infrastructure but with the intimacy of a smaller business.\nWhat You'll Do:\nAct as an integral part of our establishment, greeting and seating guests from reservations to walk ins\nSetting up tables for reservations as well as water service\nFood running and explaining dishes, serving wine and beverages, and helping with rotating silverware during service and especially our prix fixe\nBarbacking and providing support for the head bartender, while helping to make cocktails and pour wine as needed\nServing tables if need be, and fielding questions with grace and expertise.\nProviding support to any and all who need it during service to ensure a positive customer experience\nMaintain a pristine dining environment and ensure everything is guest-ready.\nOffer top-notch service to guests, making sure they leave happier than when they arrived.\nEngage in ongoing training, enhancing your knowledge and becoming a beacon of wine and tea expertise within our team.\nTake on varied responsibilities as needed to support the business's dynamic needs.\nLooking for immediate help for the holidays with the possibility of being promoted to server and having a permanent position\nCandidate Must Haves:\nCourt of Master Sommeliers or WSET Certification (preferred but not required)\nA champion of hospitality, dedicated to creating delightful guest experiences.\nFlexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.\nMeticulous attention to detail and a genuine passion for the nuances of service.\nProactive and hands-on, thriving on interaction with guests and team members alike.\nProven ability to provide excellent service, going beyond to meet the needs of both guests and colleagues.\nSelf-driven with effective prioritization and time management skills.\nOpen-minded with a respectful and humble approach to all tasks and interactions.\nComfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment and open to new methods of operation.\nApproaches new situations and people with openness, curiosity, and humility; treats others with dignity and respect.\nMust be able to lift at least 50lbs\nMust be 21+\nServSafe Certification, California Food Handler card is required within 30 days post-hire.\nKnowledge and ability to work any FOH position (at least 2 years of experience)\nIf you are eager to bring your wine knowledge and service skills to a role where you can genuinely make an impact, we would love to hear from you.
