{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"dbbd66332ccf444b38b3e281","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/dbbd66332ccf444b38b3e281","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/dbbd66332ccf444b38b3e281","title":"Electrical Apprentice","description":"The Electrical Apprentice is a contributing member of a larger organization focused on the engagement and delivery of systems and solutions focused on energy efficiency and optimization of commercial and industrial facilities.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nPerform/Support work alongside experienced electricians, assisting them with various tasks such as installing electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.\r\nStrictly adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.\r\nOperate a variety of hand and power tools under supervision, ensuring they are used correctly and safely.\r\nSome knowledge electrical theory, blueprint reading, and the National Electric Code (NEC) to understand the technical aspects of the trade is helpful but not required.\r\nSome knowledge in installation/repair of building automation system (BAS) equipment such as sensors, actuators, including landing of such equipment to BAS panel components is helpful but not required.\r\nSome knowledge of installation/repair of mechanical equipment such as air handlers, chillers, ducting, dampers etc. is helpful but not required.\r\nInstallation of electrical materials/equipment such as wire, conduit etc. is helpful but not required.\r\nMaintain records of work activities, such as materials used, work completed, and any changes made to electrical systems.\r\nWilling to support lead journeyman electrician with Analysis, Reports, MOP Sign off on work performed at job sites.\r\nCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisor.\r\nMaintain accurate and detailed hour log of service and project time.\r\nJob Requirements / Qualifications\r\nSome knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems focused on energy savings potential.\r\nExperience in electrical trade is helpful but not required.\r\nHigh school Diploma or Equivalent.\r\nAble to pass drug screening and background check.\r\nDemonstrated safety training/education preferred. OSHA 10 card preferred.\r\nValid New York Driver's license.\r\nThe ability to follow directions from lead electrician on site.\r\nAbility to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving, work environment.\r\nAbility to travel up to 75% of the time.
