Build your future with Project Solutions, Inc.\n\nPosition/Project Overview:\nProject Solutions Inc. is seeking a Construction Management Representative (CMR) to support the National Park Service (NPS) on the Repair and Raise Seawall Project at Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, Florida. This project includes demolition of existing seawalls and construction of new granite and sheet pile seawall systems, as well as rehabilitation of the historic center seawall with new capstones, infill, and repointing. Work also includes site civil improvements such as construction of a new entrance plaza and fee booth, reconstruction of walkways and stairs, utility replacements (lift station, force main, irrigation, and electrical), and associated landscaping and accessibility upgrades within a historically significant waterfront site.\nThis role is contingent upon award of project.\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nProvide technical assistance and support to CO during construction.\nRead, interpret and understand the construction contract plans and specifications.\nArrange, attend and facilitate a variety of meetings, including weekly meetings at the project site.\nArrange, attend, facilitate, and document project meetings, including weekly progress meetings, safety meetings, inspections, negotiations, and internal Government meetings; prepare meeting minutes within required timeframes.\nPerform on-site inspections, including mock-ups, preparatory, initial, follow-up, and post-construction inspections; document findings with photographs, descriptions, and reports.\nDocument issues encountered and problems experienced with the construction contractor.\nReview contractor's baseline and progress schedules.\nDraft project related correspondence for NPS to review and issuance.\nInspect the work of the construction contractor for progress, workmanship, quality and conformance with contract documents, applicable building codes and safety standards.\nReview, analyze, and assist in preparing cost estimates.\nReview and process Construction Contractor's RFIs and assist in resolution, draft response, tracking, and follow up.\nRequired Education, Knowledge and Skills:\nMinimum four (4) year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, Construction Management or other related field preferred.\nMinimum of five (5) years of relevant construction and/or engineering work experience in construction management, preferably aligned to civil, environmental, and site-sensitive construction.\nExperience with heavy civil and marine construction projects, including seawalls, sheet pile systems, structural concrete, masonry/stone work, and associated site utilities, within active or environmentally and historically sensitive sites.\nProven proficiency in project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication\nExperience working on federally funded projects or within historic and environmentally sensitive sites strongly preferred\nStrong communication and reporting skills, with a track record of timely coordination with Architecture/Engineering (A/E) teams and National Park Service (NPS) Contracting Officer’s Representatives to support quality control objectives preferred\nProficient in evaluating detailed cost estimates and contractor proposals, including breakdowns of labor, equipment, materials, overhead, and profit.\nSkilled in identifying, defining, and documenting scope changes due to owner direction or differing site conditions.\nExperience supporting or conducting technical negotiations with contractors, including scope, cost components, and terms.\nAbility to interpret construction schedules and accurately assess and document project progress.\nCapable of reviewing and evaluating payment requests against completed work and contractual milestones.\nRelevant experience on projects involving similar scope of work.\nOSHA 30 construction safety training preferred.\nWritten and verbal communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills\nStrong computer and technology literacy to utilize PCs and mobile devices.\nKnowledge of software including MS Suite (including MS Project), Adobe Acrobat, and any other software programs typically utilized.\nMaintain a valid driver's license.\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment on large, complex construction projects.\nAbility to walk or climb on a daily basis to observe contract performance.\nMust be able to physically operate a motor vehicle without danger to self or to others.\nWhat Does PSI Offer You?\nThree options for medical plans plus dental and vision insurance offerings\n24/7 healthcare access to telehealth services for your convenience\nHSA\nCompany life insurance options for you and your family\nShort-term and long-term disability offerings\nPLUS an $800 monthly allowance is provided to offset your PSI insurance premium costs\n401(k) with a 4% employer match\nGenerous PTO, paid-federal holidays, and sick leave\nAlways the opportunity for professional development\nThe information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job, nor are they intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
