Job SummaryWe’re looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with experience in construction or homebuilding. This role manages financial records, tracks project costs, and ensures accurate reporting to support efficient and profitable homebuilding operations.ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.Manage job cost accounting, including budget tracking, variance reporting, and reconciliations.Process subcontractor/vendor invoices, draw requests, and lien waivers.Oversee payroll entries and compliance with federal/state tax regulations.Handle bank reconciliations, loan draws, and funding schedules.Support project managers and executives with financial reporting and cost analysis.Assist with year-end close, audits, and tax preparation.Develop and improve internal financial controls and processes.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3+ years of accounting experience (construction/homebuilding preferred).Proficiency with QuickbooksStrong knowledge of job costing, and construction billing processes.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
