Material Planner
Stefanini Group is Looking for a Material Planner in Shippensburg, PA. Description: MAIN TASKS Review and release Purchase Orders/Schedule Agreements. Oversee rework and Non-Conforming Material. Set appropriate safety days, stock levels and reorder point through various analysis. Monitor inventory accuracy and take corrective action if necessary. Implement Actions to secure higher supplier Delivery Precision Reviews planning reports, analyzes information, and takes appropriate action to update plan and cover demands. Reviews supply orders for accuracy and adjusts accordingly prior to distributing to manufacturing and/or suppliers to ensure accuracy of order. Maintains activities and techniques required supporting the best procurement methods for parts used in production, and desired inventory levels (such as raw material, work in process) to support corporate inventory turn goals. Expedites critical orders to Manufacturing and/or suppliers in response to unplanned demand changes, ensuring quick adaption to need. Works with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Order Management, and suppliers to eliminate sources of supply interruptions and/or develop alternative sources of supply. Communicates changes in exceptions to plan to appropriate department members to ensure appropriate parties are informed. Supports investigations about manufacturing concerns relating to Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, or print errors. Reviews information to take corrective action. Develops and implements inventory and lead-time reduction plans to ensure meeting production schedule. Participates in development and implementation of systems enhancements or processes to stay current with changes. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the inbound logistics related to production parts, bringing them on time, at the low cost, and optimizing the transportation cost. Responsible for the material master parameters in the ERP system and for the optimum inventory levels AUTHORITIES Change the material master parameters related to transportation, pick up days, lot size, safety stock and day levels and ABC classification and any others related to materials planning.. To create rush transportation when it is required and under the authorization policies. To define responsibilities for cancelations or scrap of obsolete parts using the proper authorization channel COMPETENCE High School Diploma/GED equivalent required. At least 1-3 years' experience in Logistics Management, Inventory control, Procurement or Material Planning environment. ***Listed salary ranges may vary based on experience, qualifications, and local market.
