In this role you will be the primary point of contact between electrical and engineering; assisting both our standard production line and our custom team, where needed. Your contribution will be pivotal in ensuring projects hit all timing and fiscal benchmarks. You will be expected to develop designs, propose solutions, and generate BOM’s, accurately and efficiently. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on some very interesting projects for industry leading clients. We work with many of the major tech companies as well as brands such as Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Meta, Google, and Harley Davidson.\nPrimary responsibilities\nPerform calculations related to control panel design including power distribution. Experience performing and documenting Electrical Load Analyses (ELAs) on single, dual and 3 phase applications.\nDevelop solutions aimed at increased efficiency and repeatability.\nDevelop and iterate on control panel and electrical device layouts.\nCreate all wiring diagrams in Solidworks electrical, following all ANSI & IEC standards.\nGenerate and execute engineering change orders.\nGenerate Bill of Material that satisfies customer specifications and system specifics\nCreate and maintain work procedures.\nEnsure compliance with all IEC, NEC, CE, and, IPC requirements, including UL508A & UL610101.\nTroubleshoot existing designs and develop creative improvements for efficiency and surge capability, along with testing and manufacturing throughput.\nAssist in debugging field wiring issues with electricians.\nDefine electrical components to be used in an electrical control system.\nReview and comment on supplier data as required.\nDesigning alternative and/or replacement parts for existing equipment.\nWorking with purchasing for part availability and cost.\nSkills\nKnowledge of 2D CAD software is required, SolidWorks Electrical strongly preferred\nKnowledge of industrial control systems, required.\nKnowledge of electrical wiring troubleshooting, required.\nFive or more years of Electrical Engineering experience, required\nA four year degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, preferred.\nFive or more years of designing schematics for electrical control panels, preferred.\nWire Harness Design experience, preferred.\nKnowledge of electrical codes including NFPA 79, NEC, and UL 61010 / UL 508A, preferred.\nGood mechanical aptitude and knowledge, required.\nGreat communication skills, required\nGreat attention to detail, required\nFamiliarity with current electrical engineering trends.\nAn innovative mindset and positive attitude.\nWhat do we offer:\nA truly collaborative environment with a Senior Management Team that helps to shape the future of the Company.\nCompetitive salary and benefits.\nTuition reimbursement.\nA casual dog friendly work environment with a small company atmosphere!
