Practice Setting and Clinical Scope As an OB/GYN Hospitalist, you will deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to our patients. The role includes managing vaginal deliveries and C-sections with an approximate monthly delivery volume of 60-70, where 25-30% are C-sections. The practice does not include abortions or postpartum tubal ligations except during C-sections. You will also assist with any urgent GYN cases as they arise during your on-call shifts. This opportunity is ideal for physicians with recent laborist experience keen on maintaining a focus on obstetrics rather than gynecology or aesthetics. Schedule and Assignment Details Physicians can expect to cover six to eight 24-hour in-house hospital call shifts each month. These shifts run from 7:30 AM to 7:30 AM, ensuring continuity of care by requiring the OB Hospitalist to remain onsite for the entire duration. This schedule provides the flexibility and work-life balance sought by many healthcare professionals. Immediate start dates are available, and we anticipate needing coverage for a period of six months. Support and Work Environment Our facility is equipped with the Cerner EMR system and is supported by an experienced team including ultrasonographers and a team of 10 anesthesiologists available around the clock. The collaborative environment is further bolstered by strong partnerships with community perinatologists and neonatologists, providing a comprehensive support network for complex cases. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN (Board Certification highly preferred). Active California medical license required. Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in OB/GYN. Current DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications required. Clean malpractice history and recent NPDB Self-Query report required. Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred to better serve our diverse patient population.
