Our Dispatch Supervisor ensures the Dispatch team fills all the routes and provides Operators with timely instructions and responses. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.\nTransdev is proud to offer:\nCompetitive pay with union-negotiated wages, union membership through OPEIU (Office and Professional Employees International Union Local No. 2).\nCBA Position:\n$25.50 - $28.72 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Scale)\nStarting pay $25.50 with progression to 28.72 over 7 years.\nBenefits include:\nVacation: 5 days per year with progression to 15 days per year\nComprehensive benefits package including paid Sick Leave: 40 hours yearly full-time employees; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssist the Dispatch Manager in administrative tasks, ensuring that attendance and performance goals are met, and scheduling requirements are efficiently managed\nMonitor the performance of dispatchers, working closely with the Dispatchers to identify and address any performance issues, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures\nRespond to customer questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed trips.\nManage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated calls.\nProvide backup support to dispatching duties as needed without compromising primary administrative responsibilities\nAssist in managing dispatcher schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels and schedule adherence while maintaining commitment to high-quality service\nManage department reports and other communication tools.\nSupport the Dispatch Manager in training new employees.\nOther duties as required.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\nMinimum of 2-3 years of experience in dispatch, with a preference for experience in an administrative or supervisory role\nStrong administrative, organizational, conflict resolution and communication skills\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.\nKnowledge of the RIDE service area, traffic patterns, and paratransit operations is a plus\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe essential functions of this position require the ability to:\nWork is accomplished indoors in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities\nSit, type, and look at a computer for extended periods (up to 6–9 hours per day)\nWork is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer\nPush and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level\nWithstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
