Apply now and become a part of our exciting journey!Job SummaryThe Engineer VI: Engineering Manager/Senior Design Engineer (Structures Focus) applies a thorough knowledge of current principles and practices of engineering as related to the variety of aspects affecting his or her organization. This position applies knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions. The Engineer VI - Engineering Manager keeps informed of new methods and developments affecting his or her organization and recommends new practices or changes in emphasis of programs, while working on programs of limited complexity and scope.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProject management responsibilities with opportunity to Lead a technical discipline team for the organizationProduces technical design calculations and design drawingsServe as the technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods in an assigned areaKeep informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs or applicationsInterpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignmentsContribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture, free from behaviors that undermine morale, productivity, or organizational valuesUphold the organization’s standards of integrity, accountability, and respect in all duties and interactionsAdhere to all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulationsOther duties as assigned or required to meet the business needsQualificationsKnowledge Skills and Abilities:Proficiency with electronic communication including e-mail and text, as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)Able to deliver calculations and design documentation deliverables from inception to completion of complex bridge replacement projects.Possess advanced oral and written communication skillsRepresent the organization and maintain liaison with individuals and related organizationsRequired Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program10+ years prior experience neededPreferred Education And ExperienceMaster’s degree or equivalentEngaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issuesAdditional Qualifications, Certifications, Etc.Professional Engineer (PE)Member of professional practice organization, national board member or officer, national technical or policy committee memberSupervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervise a staff of engineers and designersPlan, schedule, and coordinate the preparation of documents or activities for multiple major projects, or is responsible for an entire program of an organizationReview operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measuresWhy RailPros?
