POSITION OVERVIEW
As Chief Financial Officer, you will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, shaping the financial direction of the organization while ensuring operational excellence. You will lead financial strategy, drive sustainable growth, and strengthen the organization’s ability to deliver high-quality, community-centered care.
This role sits at the center of decision-making—translating complex financial data into actionable insights and guiding leaders across the organization to make informed, mission-aligned decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Growth
Partner with executive leadership and the Board to define and execute long-term financial strategy
Provide insight into financial performance, emerging trends, and growth opportunities
Evaluate new business initiatives, partnerships, and expansion opportunities
Drive financial sustainability in a dynamic healthcare and funding environment
Financial Operations & Oversight
Oversee all finance and accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting
Ensure accurate, timely financial statements and adherence to regulatory requirements
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
Optimize cash flow, revenue cycle, and overall financial health
Performance Optimization
Leverage data and financial analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Implement cost controls and operational efficiencies across departments
Partner with clinical and operational leaders to improve financial and productivity performance
Develop KPIs and dashboards to support data-driven decision‑making
Systems, Infrastructure & Team Leadership
Develop and mentor a high‑performing finance team
Enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and operational processes
Champion the use of technology and data to improve accuracy and efficiency
Lead organizational transformation through scalable financial infrastructure
Compliance, Risk & Governance
Lead audit preparation and serve as primary liaison to external auditors
Maintain strong internal controls, policies, and financial governance practices
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and grant funding requirements
Support Board reporting and financial transparency

You are a proactive, strategic leader who can balance vision with execution. You bring strong financial expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required (Master’s preferred)
Minimum of ten years of progressive financial leadership experience, including team management
Strong experience in finance, including grants management and funding compliance and healthcare finance experience preferred (FQHC experience a plus)
Experienced in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making
Strong understanding of financial systems, controls, and regulatory environments
Executive presence with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly
Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and collaborate cross-functionally
