The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report.\n\n*Responsibilities*\n\n* Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment\n* Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances\n* Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property\n* Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences\n* Report in detail any suspicious incidents\n* Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter\n* Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates\n* *An extremely high-level of customer service skills are needed.*\n* Routine heavy lifting may be required.\n* Routine walking is required.\n* Climbing Staircases multiple times throughout shift may be required.\n* *Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of residents, visitors, and other persons, in order to maintain security of the entirety of the building.*\n* Knowledgeable about residential and/or commercial rules, and effectively answer inquiries specific to the property.\n* Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.\n* Effectively understand and utilize technology products such as a smartphone, computer, tablet, etc.\n* Ability to prepare reports in a clear and concise manner.\n* Spelling and grammar skills are essential.\n* Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.\n* The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.\n\nSkills\n\n* Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position\n* Trained security officer with diploma\n* Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment\n* Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols\n* Surveillance skills and detail orientation\n* Integrity and professionalism\n\n*Job Qualifications & Requirements:*\n\n* Current Arizona Security Guard License\n* At least 3 years of experience as security guard preferred, but not required.\n* Must have 2 years supervisory experience.\n* Must be at least age 18.\n* Must be able to pass an in-depth criminal background check.\n* Must be able to pass a drug screening.
