Senior Analyst, Accounts Payable Position SummaryThe Senior Analyst Accounts Payable leads day-to-day payables operations to ensure accurate, timely payments to business partners while maintaining strong internal controls. This role oversees invoice and payment processing, business partner onboarding, supports monthly close activities, and serves as subject matter expert for assigned AP systems. The Senior Analyst partners closely with internal stakeholders and shared services to drive operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement.Essential ResponsibilitiesAct as subject matter expert for accounts payable processes, controls, and systems, including testing, updates, and reportingEnsure accurate and timely processing of invoices and paymentsTroubleshoot and resolve issues; manage exceptions and escalate risks as appropriateSupport third-party shared services through guidance, issue resolution, and trainingMaintain and monitor internal controls and compliance with company policiesAssist with monthly close activities, including accruals and account reconciliationsPrepare and provide reports and analyses to Finance leadership and business partnersCollaborate with Financial Accounting and International Tax on cross-functional initiatives and projectsSupport the Accounts Payable Manager, Financial Accounting in a variety of other projects and ad hoc requestsWork closely with all General Managers and Business Partners on ad hoc requestsOther duties as assignedMinimum Experience And QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experienceThree (3) years of previous payables experienceOne (1) year leadership experienceProficient in English, written and verbalPresent during core business hours but hours may increase based on fluctuating workloadsExceptional leadership and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookStrong knowledge of accruals and month-end close processesStrong analytical skillsEffective coaching and mentoring skillsAvailable for occasional overnight travel (10%)Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug testMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedAuthorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorshipPreferred Experience And QualificationsProficient in Spanish, written and verbalExcellent time management skills, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environmentExcellent verbal (telephone) and written communication skillsExcellent analytical skillsSystem, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP), InvoiceWorks, TRAX experienceAbility to provide excellent customer service to external and internal business partnersCrewmember Expectations: Regular attendance and punctualityPotential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-noticeAble to maintain a professional appearanceWhen working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraftMust be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and FunThe use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the positionEquipment:Computer and other office equipmentWork Environment:Traditional office environmentPhysical Effort: Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently (Sedentary)
