This role ensures safe, reliable, and compliant electrical systems across the facility while supporting new equipment integration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.\n\nResponsibilities\nOversee design, installation, and maintenance of facility electrical power systems (480V/240V distribution, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, generators).\nOwn electrical standards, safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, CE), and documentation.\nPartner with Facilities, Manufacturing, and Automation teams on equipment installations and upgrades.\nLead root-cause analysis for electrical failures, downtime events, and equipment reliability issues.\nEnsure electrical schematics, wiring diagrams are maintained and updated.\nManage external contractors, integrators, and vendors as required.\nDrive continuous improvement in power reliability, energy efficiency, and electrical safety.\nProvide capital project support including scope development, design review, and commissioning.\nServe as Electrical Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.\n5+ years of experience in power electronics design and development.\nStrong knowledge of electrical standards, safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, CE), and documentation.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in manufacturing or nuclear industry.\nProject management experience\nActive Q clearance\n\nAdditional Skills:\nElectrical safety expertise\nStrategic thinking and problem-solving\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nBenefits:\nAll eligible employees enjoy an excellent benefits package, including medical/dental/vision insurance, short/long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off including holidays, and tuition reimbursement.\nEEO Statement:\nMSTI is an equal-opportunity employer.
