Location: Vandalia, OHSalary: $40.00 USD Hourly - $44.00 USD HourlyDescription: Avionics Technician IVLocation: Vandalia, OH 45377Duration: 6+ Months (with possible extension based on performance)Shift: Monday - Thursday | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PMAbout The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician IV to perform advanced avionics maintenance, installation, and repair activities in compliance with FCC, FAA, and applicable regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on moderately complex avionics systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform avionics maintenance in accordance with regulatory and organizational standardsInstall, test, troubleshoot, and repair moderately complex avionics systems and componentsInterpret technical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manualsPerform wire routing, wiring installation, repair, soldering, and crimping tasksMaintain test equipment, tools, and technical documentationEnsure compliance with all safety and quality proceduresAssist in mentoring and guiding junior technicians when requiredRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentTypically 10+ years of relevant avionics experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)Strong proficiency in:Avionics maintenance and installationWiring installation and routingTechnical schematics and diagram interpretationSoldering and crimping techniquesAbility to work with specialized avionics tools and equipmentMust have own tools in good working condition Preferred QualificationsFCC familiarity or FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL)Experience using test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, spectrometer, pitot-static systems)Background in Aerospace & Defense, U.S. Department of Defense, or MilitaryAbility to mentor junior team membersEligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required)Work Environment & ConditionsFrequent exposure to outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)Exposure to loud noise, fumes, and hazardous materialsSafety-sensitive role involving aviation systems, equipment, and hazardous materialsPhysical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, sitting, and climbingRepetitive use of hands, arms, and fingers requiring dexterityVisual acuity (close, distance, depth perception, color differentiation)Ability to distinguish different tones and volumesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs occasionallySafety-Sensitive RoleThis position involves responsibilities that directly impact safety and security, including:Working with aviation systems and critical equipmentInspecting structures, systems, and vehiclesHandling potentially hazardous materialsOperating or supervising machinery and equipmentCore SkillsAvionics MaintenanceWiring Installation & RoutingTechnical Schematics & Blueprint InterpretationDiagram & Manual InterpretationAdditional SkillsWiring RepairAvionics Installation ToolingPublication InterpretationSoldering & Crimping TechniquesMentoring & Team GuidanceOscilloscope & Test Equipment UsageAerospace/Defense Industry ExperienceBy providing your phone number, you consent to: (1) receive automated text messages and calls from the Judge Group, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively "Judge") to such phone number regarding job opportunities, your job application, and for other related purposes.
