{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"db1002a080ececcdc2badccc","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/db1002a080ececcdc2badccc","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/db1002a080ececcdc2badccc","title":"Equipment Operator","description":"Pay: $27-33/hour, depending on experience\nBenefits:\n15 days of paid time off\nCompetitive medical, dental, and vision plan options\nHealth Savings Account with employer match option\nPaid Parental Leave\n401(k) with an employer match up to 4%\nSupplemental health plans through Aflac\nEmployer paid basic life insurance\nEmployee paid short-term disability option\nEmployer-paid long-term disability\nMental health support through Employee Assistance Program\n7 paid holidays annually\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nOperate necessary equipment to bale and load waste material into trailers.\nPerform inspection and maintenance checks of equipment daily.\nGrease/lubricate equipment, check and add fluids to equipment daily\nOperator will steer, guide and or drive the above listed equipment at the assigned site, if the equipment is used at the particular site(s) using steering wheel, shifters, levers, buttons and pedals.\nOperator will substitute for another operator if someone is absent from the work crew or as needed/required.\nOperator will clean trash from tracks of heavy equipment by pulling and or cutting material away from tracks and gear mechanisms at least once daily or more if needed.\nOperator will use a two-way radio to communicate with co-workers in the field and or office regarding work activities, Requirements: and priorities for the work day.\nConform in all respects with applicable federal, state/provincial and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.\nMaintain appearance of the grounds and facility.\nAttend safety and branch meetings.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.\n\nRequirements:\n\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired, but not required.\nCompletion of forklift certification.\nAbility to obtain Transfer Station / Landfill Operations Certification if needed.\nOperate excavator, forklift/bobcat, front-loader, baler, backhoe, track hoe, bull dozer, compactor and/or steer equipment, safety shoes and eye protection.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n\nDemonstrate ability to follow instructions and work under little supervision.\nApply commonsense understanding to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in a standardized setting\nAbility to perform the four basic functions of math and to be able to read and understand the meaning of equipment gauges.\nMust have the ability to read, speak, understand and write the English language.\nMust be able to frequently lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.\nWork in outdoor environment 100% of the time.\n\nPhysical/Mental Demands:\n\nAbility to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, taste, and smell.\nVisual Requirements: include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.\nMust be able to frequently lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.\n\nWorking Conditions:\n\nConstantly exposed to loud noise, humidity, outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, vibration, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles\nWork environment is usually moderate to loud.\nWork in outdoor environment inside heavy equipment covered cab, but exposed to all weather conditions, except lightning storms.\nOccasionally work in high precarious places.\nWork in outdoor environment 100% of the time.\nWe thank you for your interest.
