We are looking for a Technical Product Manager with a passion for software development and a deep understanding of the banking sector to lead the charge in driving our digital product strategy. As part of our Digital & Innovation team, you’ll be at the forefront of enhancing our core banking systems, digital platforms, and customer-facing applications. Role Overview As Technical Product Manager (TPM), you will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end lifecycle of digital products, from concept to launch, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, architecture, risk, compliance, and customer experience, to deliver high-quality software solutions that scale. You will be instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring that our products meet the evolving needs of our customers and the financial services industry. As part of our Agile transformation, the TPM will also be a key player in adopting SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) best practices, ensuring that all teams are aligned and delivering incrementally to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities Product Vision & Strategy: Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for key digital products in alignment with business and customer needs. Ensure all technical decisions support long-term business goals. Backlog Management: Own the program backlog, translating business requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications. Prioritize features, enhancements, and technical debt, balancing customer needs with regulatory requirements. Agile & SAFe Leadership: Lead and participate in PI Planning (Program Increment) sessions, working with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Product Owners, and Agile teams to define and prioritize deliverables that maximize business value. Leverage SAFe principles such as Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) to prioritize initiatives. Technical Collaboration: Partner with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to evaluate technical solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable, secure, and reliable. Collaborate on technical trade-offs and design decisions to ensure successful implementation. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication of the product’s technical requirements, progress, and roadmap. Collaborate with compliance, risk, and security teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing product performance, gathering feedback from customers and internal teams, and implementing updates to enhance user experience, security, and system efficiency. Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data analytics, KPIs, and user feedback to inform product decisions and drive improvements. Ensure all product enhancements are delivering measurable value to both the bank and its customers. Release Management: Coordinate software releases, working with DevOps and release teams to ensure smooth, reliable product launches. Manage post-launch analysis, tracking product performance and identifying areas for improvement. Risk Management: Ensure that all product designs and implementations align with the bank’s risk and compliance standards, particularly in areas related to data security, financial regulations, and customer privacy. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CSPO, SAFe) a plus. 5+ years of experience in product management within software development, preferably in financial services or fintech. Strong understanding of banking systems (core banking, payments, loans, digital channels) and familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI, SOX, GDPR). Proven experience working with Agile frameworks, including SAFe, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent. Technical acumen: Strong grasp of software development, system architecture, APIs, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices. Exceptional communication skills: Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and translate complex technical requirements into clear business objectives. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities: Ability to drive initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment. Experience in data analytics and performance tracking to inform product decisions and improve customer experiences. Knowledge of security best practices and experience ensuring software solutions comply with industry security standards and regulations. Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and modern financial APIs. Background in leading Agile transformations, specifically in large-scale organizations. Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and practices in a banking environment.
