Come grow with us!\nWe are seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Hickory, NC!\nJob Summary:\nThe Material Handler will work under the direction of the Operations Mgr. The Material Handler will be responsible for assisting in the organization and monitoring of inventory, both physical inventory on the shop floor and associated inventory systems.\nPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:\nProduction Support:\nPrepares work by gathering necessary materials and reviewing work orders\nPull, verify, and stage materials for production work orders\nReview assembly carts daily; restock materials and update inventory systems as needed\nPrint labels and support production requirements\nMaterial Flow Management:\nMove materials through all stages of production\n(receiving WIP finished goods)\nEnsure accurate system transactions for all material movements\nPerforms part inspection according to approved SOPs\nUses counting scales for bulk receiving, re-labeling, and re-boxing\nShipping Support:\nPick and stage materials for shipping based on pick lists\nInventory Control:\nPerform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories\nIdentify and report inventory discrepancies\nMaintain accurate inventory through proper transactions and handling\nConsumables Management:\nMonitor consumable inventory levels weekly\nSubmit replenishment requests as needed\nGeneral Duties:\nOperate material handling equipment safely\nMaintain organization and cleanliness in all areas\nSupport additional operational needs as required\nExperiences/Skills Required:\nMust have the ability to work in a team atmosphere to obtain common goals and objectives\nDemonstrates effective listening skills\nAbility to read, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions\nAbility to meet deadlines, concentrate, and pay close attention to detail\nAdaptability and willingness to perform all given duties\nStrong safety orientation; perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner\nBasic understanding of conventional measuring tools and techniques\nMust be able to multi-task\nExcellent hand-eye coordination\nForklift experience preferred\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\nManufacturing experience preferred\nPhysical Requirements\nProduction environment: dust and grease are common.
