The engineer will work in the Andover foundry on III‑V backside processes, including wafer bonding, debonding, and bonded wafer processing. The role requires a basic understanding of microelectronics processing techniques (deposition, photolithography, etch) and a focus on III‑V backside processing. The engineer will provide engineering support, training, failure analysis, and process qualification, and will collaborate with manufacturing personnel, equipment teams, and engineering leads. Presence on the manufacturing floor is required for rapid issue resolution.\nWhat You Will Do Process wafers to create FETs, MMICs, and FPAs in a cleanroom environment.\nWork autonomously with limited oversight.\nInfluence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.\nReview and disposition wafers on hold for evaluation in the work center.\nWork well in small, cross‑functional teams and assist in maintaining or improving production processes.\nActively communicate with parties within and outside the work center (shift engineers, work center leads, operation leads, manufacturing personnel, equipment teams).\nQualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). Advanced degree is an asset.\nMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor processing (photolithography, dry etching, metal evaporation, optical or scanning electron microscopy).\nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.\nQualifications We Prefer Strong documentation and presentation skills for process development status.\nKnowledge of semiconductor processing and data analysis.\nExperience with data analysis software (MATLAB, Python, SQL, JMP).\nExperience with quality standards and audits.\nEffective cross‑functional communication.\nCompensation and Benefits Salary range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD.
