Responsible for the direct supervision of the general accounting staff.\nResponsibility:\nProvide daily, monthly and yearly comparative financial information to management for planning and to foster continuous improvement.\nDevelop and maintain cost and profit estimates for new and existing product lines and generate regular cost reports and trend analysis .\nMaintain and make recommendations for an adequate information system to measure financial and operational results.\nParticipate in Plant Operating Committee meetings to communicate financial results and progress towards goals and objectives\nWork closely with management in directing and controlling resources.\nMaintain and make recommendations regarding a system of internal control.\nCo-ordinate and lead the preparation of the annual budget, Five-Year Annual Business Plan, and the rolling forecast.\nEnsure the monthly financial statements at the facility are prepared on time and are free of material misstatements.\nEnsure that all positions within the department are filled with the appropriate people.\nEnsure that statutory financial obligations including audit, tax and other Government filings are completed in a timely and efficient manner.\nAvailable for special corporate assignments as requested.\nEnsure that employee evaluations are conducted on or before the due date.\nParticipate in and provide financial guidance to support the facility new business quotation process.\nAcademic/Educational Requirements:\nA college degree in business administration, accounting or related field with a CPA designation is highly preferred.\nRequired Skills/Experience:\nMinimum of three to five years’ supervisory experience in related field.\nPrepare financial summaries and interpret financial health of organization.\nDevelop appropriate budgets and evaluate financial records.\nAbility to make sound financial decisions and change accounting procedures as needed.\nAbility to notify and report to senior management concerning any trends critical to organization’s performance.\nInteract with co-workers and accountants and act as a liaison between different departments\nIntermediate to advanced working knowledge of applicable software programs.\nContinuously maintain current knowledge of all organizational accounting practices through seminars, webinars and professional conferences as needed.\nWhat Linamar Has to Offer\nCompetitive Compensation\nEmployee Benefits package includes but not limited to, Drug, Dental & Vision etc.\n401k Program\nOpportunities for career advancement.\nSustainability Counsel\nCommunity based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities.\nDiscounts for local vendors and events, including auto supplier discounts.\nAbout Us\nLinamar Corporation is a Canadian-founded global manufacturer, renowned for its advanced engineering and innovative product development across diverse industries and markets.
