The Material Control Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily operations and providing leadership for employees working within the Material Control group ensuring that packaging, shipping and receiving processes, logistics, and communication are executed properly to meet departmental and company objectives.This position is located at our South Elgin, IL facility.What You Will Do:Manage the daily operations and workload for the Material Control groupMakes decisions and resolves problems of moderate complexity working under minimal direct supervision of the Supply Chain ManagerDevelop solid relationships with carriers to execute service and savings agreementsParticipates in interviewing, selecting, orientating and training new staff membersEffectively train employees on procedures in material control, shipping, receiving and cratingEnsure cross-training to different roles within the departmentWhat You Will Bring:Associate's degree, technical degree or certificate from college or technical school with emphasis on Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent experience5+ years of supervision and material handling experience.Lean manufacturing experience.Ability to use a variety of material handling equipment, including a forkliftHaumiller Engineering compensation decisions are based on relevant factors such as job-related skills, experience and education or training.
