Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role drives month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis across multiple business segments (manufacturing, publishing, consulting, and software). The incumbent will lead the Sage Intacct implementation and optimization by configuring modules, building custom reports and dashboards, designing automations, ensuring data integrity, and providing training and change management for the finance team. This role requires Sage Intacct experience, preferably as a power user who is eager to optimize systems, rebuild processes when needed, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful financial insights that support strategic decision-making.\r\nJob Functions\r\nPrimary Responsibilities\r\nThis role serves as OSV's Sage Intacct system owner for Accounting and is responsible for configuration, controls, reporting, automation, data integrity, and user adoption\r\nPerform month end close duties within Sage Intacct for accounts payable/receivable, unearned revenue, and sales accruals\r\nManage company fixed assets, capital projects, and curriculum product development costs\r\nCompile and reconcile monthly intercompany balances\r\nProvide training and support to teammates, and proactively identify ways to assist the team during peak cycles to ensure team and organizational success\r\nAccounting for donation and restricted grant activity\r\nMust stay current on financial standards (GAAP) and document policies, procedures and accounting memos as requested\r\nCross-Functional & Backup Areas (The following areas represent cross-functional or backup responsibilities, not primary daily duties.)\r\nInventory & Warehouse Management Systems as well as calculating and compiling accurate monthly obsolescence reports\r\nRoyalty contracts and payments\r\nNew business pricing analysis and pro-formas\r\nAssist with annual budget & financial statement audit\r\nRequirements\r\nExperience\r\nFive years of progressive experience in accounting and/or finance\r\nDemonstrated advanced proficiency in Sage Intacct, ideally as a power user capable of building custom reports, dashboards, and automations; experience leading process improvements or system optimizations in Intacct strongly preferred\r\nProven ability to lead process improvements and train others on system requirements\r\nExperience providing training and change management support to other users\r\nEnergetic, self-motivated, deadline oriented, and highly ethical person who projects a professional image\r\nExperience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity environments is a plus\r\nEducation\r\nBachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance\r\nCPA preferred, but not required\r\nLean management/production coursework is a plus\r\nSkills and Abilities\r\nTeam first mindset with a strong service orientation and collaborative approach\r\nStrong organizational, self-direction and hands-on skills—such as prioritizing tasks, owning deliverables, or managing deadlines independently\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate and communicate effectively to individuals at all levels of the organization\r\nPlaces an emphasis on the promotion of collegial interdepartmental culture to foster collaboration, respect and open communication among the organization\r\nAbility to maintain high moral standards in a mission-driven organization\r\nMaintain confidentiality\r\nHybrid office environment\r\nMajority of time will be sitting and working on computer\r\n(Note: These statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work involved for this job.
