{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"daad98febb1e141a2bb72896","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/daad98febb1e141a2bb72896","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/daad98febb1e141a2bb72896","title":"Associate Engineering Project Manager","description":"Associate Engineering Project Manager\nPrimary Function: Responsible for supporting and managing a project from evaluation and pre-design through post-construction, including coordination and leadership of project team in developing required documents.\nReports To: Regional Manager\nResponsibilities:\nContinuing education to improve technical knowledge/skills through outside and in-house programs, seminars, training sessions, site visits, trade periodicals, and other resources.\nAssist marketing team in proposal development, including project manpower requirements, team, scope, schedule, contracts, and interviews.\nPlan, execute, and monitor project scope and manpower requirements/fees, including review of job status reports.\nPrimary contact with Client—coordinate information and communications between Owner and team, review scope changes, make design presentations, review/approve Contractor invoices, and work with responsible director for fee billings.\nCoordinate project team, team meetings, information between departments, and work-loads with departments.\nCoordinate outside consultants with Owner and Project Team, including consultant selection and communications.\nCoordinate review and compliance with appropriate code authorities, including communication, review, and applications.\nIf registered/certified, responsible for sealing/documentation of project and team.\nMaintain and coordinate project files.\nComplete assignments efficiently in a timely and complete manner as required by the project and/or supervisor.\nPerform miscellaneous corporate projects, as assigned.\nAll other duties as apparent or assigned.\n\nMust have a thorough understanding of the following techniques and procedures:\nEvaluation Phase:\nClient interview\nInfrared survey – StructureScanTM\nTramex, material testing\nEvaluation formats Test cuts – moisture probe Roof plan schematics\nPhoto (camera) conditions\nCCR (Construction, Condition, and Recommendations) evaluations report\nStructureTec evaluation rating system (RCI)\nEvaluation presentations/StructureScanTM video\nEstablish project budgets\nOrganize technicians for evaluation/work schedules\nDesign/Development\nRoof system designs/material selection\nClient interaction\nDetail design\nEstablish roofing budgets\nConstruction Documents\nCoordinate information for specification for technicians field work\nDevelop specification documents (oversee development process)\nDevelop project manual\nBidding\nSelection of contractor base\nDistribution of bidding documents/attend pre-bid conference\nCoordinate addendum documents\nReview bids with Client/tabulate bids\nDetermine qualified bidder (confer with Principal and Client and provide recommendations.\nAssist with Owner/Contractor contracts\nConstruction Review and Administration/Support Field Operations\nSite construction visits and progress reports\nCoordinate technician’s site visits\nMonitor time on project or budget\nDetermine construction review budgets for Client and StructureTec phase management.\nWrite field reports and progress reports for all visits and meetings (expertly/ technically)\nClient contact interaction/review\nPreconstruction meetings, progress meetings (attendance and coordination)\nShop drawing review and distribution\nCoordinate change order documents\nResponsible for technicians’ conduct, experience, and performance while on site; reviews (training)\nReview/approval of pay requests\nPunch list development\nClose-out documentation and administration\nClient performance evaluation and post construction review\nMaintenance Program\nEstablish maintenance programs with Clients (project manual)\nMonitor maintenance repairs and projects with technicians (schedules)\n\nContinuing education- RIEI Seminars/BURSI Seminars\n\nCertification programs- (CSI, RCI)\n\nQualifications:\nDegree in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, Construction Management\nNon-degreed persons must have two to six years prior industry project management experience with a minimum of five years industry experience.\nTesting:\nStructureScanTM – must be knowledgeable in infrared survey techniques, such as identifying wet insulation.\nNon-Destructive Testing – must be familiar with Tramex leak seeker and other similar equipment.\nDestructive Testing – must have skills needed to successfully accomplish testing, such as moisture probes and test cuts.\nGood communication skills to effectively work with Clients from beginning design to post construction.\nKnowledge of project management process as it relates to the business.\nKnowledge in construction, such as industry standards, materials, codes, contracts, bid-ding processes, etc.\nKnowledge in Q.C./Q.A. standards.\nFamiliarity & experience with interpreting construction documents\nKnowledge and experience in field inspection.\nSkills to write technical reports and letters.\nDesire to pursue continuing education and certification programs (CSI, RCI, RIEI, NRCA).\nWillingness to contribute to a teamwork-oriented environment.\nBenefits:\nAs an Associate Project Manager at StructureTec, you will have the backing of an established and stable company as you build your professional skills and career.
